Affiliate Marketing Tasks You Need to Remember

If you are an affiliate marketer that works from your home, there are a variety of tasks that you need to remember to complete regularly. The following are a few of the tasks that you will need to keep up with, and more than likely there are even more that you will remember depending on your various projects and the amount of work you have to do.

Administrative & Educational Tasks

1. First of all you need to start your computer. Be sure that your Internet is working as it should and that your other equipment, like your printer / fax and computer are functioning as they should as well. Then check to make sure your any and all firewall, anti-virus, spy ware removal and other vital software and systems are up and running.

2. Next you will need to take care of the financial tasks for the day, paying suppliers, contractors who’ve submitted invoices, outstanding bills / monthly installments, credit card payments, etc. Then check out your website and shopping cart statistics as well: any page rank info, leads, clicks, sales and other tracking details you may monitor to get your ROI (return on investment).

3. Take time every day to do some research. Learning more about marketing, about your various niches and about your areas of expertise are all extremely important if you want to continue to be successful and compete.

4. Check your email folders. Make sure that you delete any junk mail you have first. Then go on to log any emails that you need to keep around. If you have emails that you need to reply to, then keep them in your box and reply quickly or save them for later. For miscellaneous files, you will want to make a specific folder so the emails do not stack up in your box.

Daily Tasks

1. Marketing is imperative and it is the breath of your business. Make sure to spend some time doing marketing every day. You can get some great tips to help at SBA.gov and you can find various other helpful articles online as well.

2. You will need to take the time to see how much work you have to complete for the day, and then start working to make sure that you meet all of yoru deadlines.

3. Be sure to check with various employees, helpers, and your outsource team as well. Keep everyone on track and give out new work orders as needed.

4. Also be sure that you work at networking every day. You can network offline and online in order to get more clients, to establish new clients, and to find more business opportunities for yourself as well.

5. It is also important that you take care of yourself as well. Be sure that you take time for daily exercise and eat right as well. Your health is important, so take care of it.

Tasks to Be Completed on a Weekly and Monthly Basis

1. Take time to revise your websites. Websites must be up to date, and you can make your website much better by adding new content and new graphics as well. New site tools are also great additions too.

2. Create your ezines and newsletters and make sure that they get sent out on time.

3. Design and send out your postal advertising campaigns, such as postcards, flyers, or direct mail.

4. Make sure to take the time to work on creating your own products as well.
